We're Not in LA Anymore

You know you're not in LA anymore, when you drive down the road and see this:Wild horses! Real mustangs! These beautiful guys can randomly be found munching on grass along the roadside in our new neighborhood.

The picture above is from our first sighting of wild horses. Mommy thought they were pet horses that must have gotten loose, so she called animal services and 911. The dispatch revealed that they are actually mustangs which belong to the State. We've since had several other mustang sightings. In fact, today we saw what must have been a wild horse convention - a count of at least 19 horses coming from different parts of the fields to one meeting point. So awesome and bizarre!

Talley's Tour of Southern Cali

Mommy and I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Southern California. We drove out with Grandpa T last Thursday and we flew back to Reno yesterday evening. We had a jam packed schedule of visiting with friends and family.

We got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Garner (Papa Sugar and Me-Ma, respectively) at Grandma Linda and Andy Pop's house:

We visited Great Uncle Terry and Aunt Janise's house:

(We had a wonderful time hanging out with Cousin Jenny at Great Uncle Terry and Aunt Janise's house too, but Mommy didn't get a photo with her - Mommy fail.)

Then we went to the South Bay to visit some friends near our old home in Hawthorne:

After that, we headed to Downey for lunch at Frantone's with Aunt Jaclyn:

Then we picked up Aunt Miss Natasha Turner (AMNT) who came to visit from London and brought her back to Grandma Linda and Andy Pop's house with us:

We had breakfast with Grandpa T:

We hung out with Tita Elaine and Joseph at their home in Diamond Bar:

We spent a fun day with my Godbrother, Dylan ("Oh Dyn-Dyn!"), going to the apple farm in Oak Glen:

And on our last morning, we had a nice breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Tait, who were visiting from Belize:

All in all, it was a wonderful time with people we love. Thank you to everyone who accommodated us and made time to see us! We miss you already!

20 Months Old

Month 20 just flew on by! I've been learning more and more words and I can put a few words together to communicate pretty much anything I want now. I love to repeat after Mommy and Daddy and even try to mimick the tones in which they say things. I love to sing and dance more than ever too. The ABCs and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are timeless classics, of course, but I also like to make up my own songs sometimes. I am becoming more comfortable at swim class. They changed the curriculum up a bit and I really like some of the new activities we do, like wearing floaty arm bracelets and riding the floaty train. I have finally started giving the instructor high fives! I've made several new friends through the Moms Club mommy joined up. We have had several fun playdates at people's houses and at local parks. I'm also taking a Play and Learn class and an Art class through Gymboree. Being so busy, it's no wonder the time has flown by so fast!

Wedding in the Woods

On September 25th, Daddy, Mommy, and I drove up to Caspar, CA to attend a wedding in the woods. Daddy's friend from college, Caleb, married a very nice girl named Joy. The ceremony was very pretty with the woodsy backdrop and the outdoor reception was a blast, complete with a pig roast, a live band, a bonfire, and Bollywood dancers. The band sang in a language I didn't recognize (maybe French?), but they had a great sound and I loved dancing to their music. The big surprise was when the bride joined in for the final Bollywood dance. Very cool! It was fun meeting Daddy's college friends too. A couple of them have kids right around my age who turned out to be fine dance partners.

The morning after the wedding, we hung out in the historic coastal community, Mendocino, for a bit to take in some yummy breakfast and gorgeous scenery before our long drive back home.

The drive was long (6 hours each way), but it was really beautiful. We saw lots of trees and lakes. I really impressed Mommy and Daddy with what a good trooper I was for our road trip.


I love weddings so much. I hope someone else we know gets married soon. I still want to be a flower girl!
