Vegas Baby!

Last weekend I went with Mommy and Daddy to Las Vegas for the annual hockey tournament Daddy plays. It was my first real road trip and overnight vacation. Mommy and Daddy said I did really well with the drive. I just sat in my car seat looking at my plump little feet and napping mostly. Not much to it, really.

We stayed at Encore Hotel. I loved looking at all of the different ceilings and lights. Our room was very nice; it had a giant, fun bath tub and a great view. Grandma Linda and Andy met up with us and stayed in an adjoining room so they could play with me too. I didn't get to do any gambling in the casino downstairs, but the slot machines looked neat and craps sounds easy enough.

I really enjoyed seeing my first hockey games. Mommy bundled me up in cute, warm clothes and took lots of pictures of me like she always does. Daddy played great and got a hat trick just for me! He's my all-time favorite hockey player.

I think being a traveling baby is pretty cool. I wonder where Mommy and Daddy will take me next...

Talley Had a Little Lamb

I love my Grandparents! They always shower me with lots of love and presents! Grandma Jennifer got me this nice soft and cuddly lamb for Easter. Aren't we cute?

Baby T and Manatees

Grandma Linda adopted a manatee for me! Click on the link below to check her out! Her name is Ariel and she's cute and chubby, just like me :)

What Grinds My Gears

Being a baby isn't all poops and giggles, ya know? Sometimes dealing with the limitations of my baby body and the language barrier between me and Mommy and Daddy is just too much and it makes me fussy. The top five things that grind my gears are as follows: every time the car stops, getting out of the bath tub, clothes being pulled over my head, being hungry, and Tummy Time when I'm not in the mood. I've tried telling Mommy and Daddy time and time again that if any of these things should happen, a fit is likely to ensue. They just don't seem to get it sometimes. To anyone who reads this, please consider yourself warned...

Talking Talley

Look who's talking! Ok, so maybe it's not perfect English, but I think I get my point across. I can actually say/squeal even more than featured on this video clip, but I don't let Mommy film everything. What if I want to be president one day? Some things are better left off the record. If you visit me, I'll tell you everything.

My First Easter

Here are some pics of me on my first Easter! We visited my cousins and great aunt and uncle in San Clemente. It was a really nice day - I wore a pretty dress; I smiled; I cried; and I took a long nap. I think it will be even better next year when I can walk around, look for eggs, and eat some candy. Also, Cousin Jackson said that when I'm bigger, I can play with him and use his toys - as long as we take turns.

Tummy Time Talley

In order to strengthen my neck muscles, I exercise them every day with Tummy Time. My favorite way to do Tummy Time is on Mommy or Daddy's chest. With practice, I am able to hold my head up more and more. Check out my picture to see how strong I've grown!

Can You Find Talley?

See if you can find me in this pic with Mommy and Daddy at Dewar's Ice Cream and Candy Shop in Bakersfield. Mommy and Daddy got some delicious-looking ice cream there after visiting with Great Grandma Erna and Great Grandpa Ed. (You can check out a photo of me with my great grandparents in the "I Love Talley" album.) I desperately wanted a bite of Mommy's sundae, but all I ever get is stinkin' breastmilk! Mark my words - I will have an ice cream sundae of my own one day!

2 Month Check-Up

I had my two month check-up at the pediatrician's office last week. The doc says that I'm doing great and growing just the way I'm supposed to. I weighed in at 10 pounds, 1 ounce and I measured 21 and 3/4 inches long.

The only bad part was that I had to get shots - ouch! I cried a little and yelled at Mommy some, but then Mommy bounced me around for a while and I got over it.

My next appointment will be when I turn 4 months old. I wonder how big I will be then!

Daddy and Me

I love my Daddy! He's the most handsome and funny man in the world. He makes the silliest noises and faces and makes me smile all the time. We love playing together. The video on this post shows just one of the games Daddy plays with me to make me smile. We also love to fall asleep together on the bed after a long day. Check out my favorite picture of us together. I thought it was just too cute not to post.

Baby's Best Friends

We didn't know what to think about each other at first - Pookie cried when I cried; Bubba had to adjust to not being the baby of the family; and I didn't like that they stole my toys and dirty clothes and dragged them outside. Over time, though, we've learned to live harmoniously and we've become great buddies. I love to look at Pookie and Bubba and they love to lick my hands and feet. They run in to check on me sometimes when I cry. What good friends! Enjoy the cute pics above of me and my canine companions.

Yoga Baby

Ohm!

Mommy has enrolled us in Mommy/Baby yoga classes. So far I've been to four sessions. The first two sessions, I mostly practiced my favorite pose, Shavasna/the Relaxation Pose, as I slept. I woke up for the fun baby interaction time at the end, though. I loved looking and smiling at the other babies in my class. Baby Nate was especially cute, but he's eight months old and Mommy says he's too old for me. I also really liked Baby Emma - she's seven months old and she can do Downward Dog pose! Someday I will be able to do Downward Dog too (maybe when I'm six months!), but for now I'm focused on holding my head up on my own and staying awake during class. I did manage to stay awake the whole time for the second two yoga sessions. It was so fun looking at Mommy and sitting on her while she did funny things to "reclaim the navel" (whatever that means). I smiled, cooed, and gurgled the whole time. Everyone said I was so cute and the yoga instructor lost her count once while exchanging smiles with me.

All in all, I think I really like this yoga stuff! Maybe I'll stay awake for the next class too!

Namaste!

P.S. When I learn it, I'll add a picture of me doing Downward Dog pose to this post.
